Default Wifi express vs program box

I've decided to get the HW 60A V4 but can't decide whether or not to spend the extra $$$ and get the wifi module over the LCD program box. Can anyone comment if it's worth the extra money or would I be just as happy with the box?

Thanks.

I just got a platnem 160 and wifi yesterday, took me a while to get it going, but once I got it working its really nice. updated the firmware on the esc straight away, really convenient. once I have the esc working the way I like I will probably remove it from the heli.

If using external governor like brain or vbar I would just get the box as once initial setup done you won't need it again except for updates. If using hobbywing governor might be handy for wifi to do adjustments.

I am using the program box, have made only a few changes after the initial programing. Works really simply and straight forward. I am using the governor on my brain2 though.

I have both. Bought the box before the WiFi was sold. I like both and for the extra $25 I still think I'd have both. The WiFi module is great. It allows tuning at the field without the use of a computer. Definitely needed if you like to tweak gov settings. The app works really well too. Hobbywing did a great job with this.

I have both of these and prefer the wifi module. I never use the prog box anymore.

Can I ask which version esc and which program box you guys are using? I bought the multifunction program box and when I connect it to the V4 esc it won't get past the connecting to esc screen.

I have this prog box <---, and all of my HW ESC's are Platinum V4's.
