Default AH-64 when and why?

So how long has this heli been around and why did blade discontinue it? All my lhs are no longer stocking it some have parts is all. It's a pity as it looks fun. Blade seem to be discontinuing a lot these days nano cpx the 130x but these have replacements available; nano cps and 180cfx, it is kind of forcing people to upgrade as spares will eventually become impossible to find. But what replaces the AH-64? I'd love a bnf scale heli

Blade hasn't had much luck with putting a scale Fuse on a heli.

Generally the heli is under powered and guys are looking for a mover.

I have a 2S HeliMax BlackHawk that puts the AH-64 to shame as far as performance.

Its been around for just over a year but is a dud according to what Blade does.

They expect to keep costs down by manufacturing ten thousand units(just a guess)and selling them.

While the AH-64 looks cool it isn't a killer performer so many heli freaks didn't buy it.

I like mine because I like it for what it is.

Look out for give away prices and stock up on spare parts if you want to still fly it years from now.

anybody notice they took it down from their site?

I've been trying to keep an eye on it, to see if the price was gonna drop to "get rid of them all!" levels, and I was gonna buy up a few at that point, but I stopped checking in frequently, and now it's gone. :-(

I guess mine will forever stay in the box now as I don't dare risk breaking it. ...I better find another heli that uses the same battery so it doesn't go to waste and die on me. any suggestions for someone who's just skilled enough to hover and gently push a CP heli around?

Hi Mate,

I'm kicking myself for not buying one of these when I had the chance. Do you still happen to have yours in the box? Would you be willing to sell it?

Thanks xx

Nah, I sold it a couple of years ago, finally. Flew it once and the wind grabbed it and drove it into the ground, stripping the main drive gears, so I repaired it and left it in the box since then. Now I don't have a transmitter to fly my NanoCPX anymore.
