Default MY G570 Project

I pulled the trigger on a Carbon Edition black/red G570 this week. I just like the colors was the reason for that choice. I already had all the electronics in my 6HV Ultimate. So, I am going to re-purpose them.

Here's my planned setup:
Flight Style: Smooth 3D, smack
FBL System: Mini Vbar
Motor: Savox BSM 5055-550
Pinion: Stock 21t
Target Headspeed(s): 2200/2350/2500
ESC: Jive 80HV
Governor: Jive Mode 4
BEC: Jive
RX Pack: none
Cyclic Servos: BLS451
Tail Servo: BLS251
Main Blades: Blackline 3D 570
Tail Blades: stock
LiPos: SkyLipo 6S3000 x 2

Interestingly, I noted that the difference between the yellow/black Carbon Edition and red/black Carbon Edition are the few upgrades they include in the yellow/black, but not the red/black:
-quick release canopy mounts
-SAB cooling motor mount
-Aluminum Servo Support set

Does anyone feel these are worth adding back? I would definitely add the quick release mounts back. But what about the cooling motor mount and servo mounts?

I've read of the issues with main gears. Not sure if it's still a problem in new production kits. Also, is there still an issue with production tail pulleys?

Appreciate any advice, guys.

Both carbon editions will have all those upgrades.
If you saw the red one as not having those it was likely a mistake.

Don't think there is a particular issue with tail pulleys, perhaps a few isolated problems, and it could be the tail case as much as the tail pulley causing an issue.
I run a lynx main gear on my 570 though.
I wouldn't trust the stock main gear with 12S power and pushing 615mm blades like I am.

I also didn't like the idea of having to lube the main gear, so just another thing that pushed me towards the self-lubing lynx gear.

Edit: Thought I had seen some guys with the upgrades on their red carbon edition 570's but I must have been mistaken.
Only upgrade I would get are the Tenax (SHS) canopy mounts, the stock ones are pretty bad, screws you can lose easily.
The SHS ones are really easy to use, and no false locking.

I finished my red/ black carbon about a month ago. The description is correct and it does not include the three upgrades that are in question. I went with the tenax canopy mounts as I have them on my bigger Goblins and like their operation. I also purchased the aluminum servo mounts as a personal choice, however I don't see them as a necessity. While I only have about ten flights on it running the KDE motor on 12s I really didn't feel the cooling mount was needed. I did use the Lynx main gear as on all three of my other Goblins I had past issues with the stock main. The new main from sab came out after my builds so I have no experience with them. I do fly theses birds very hard and the Lynx gear has held up well.

Thank you much for the input, guys.

I had no issues with my carbon servo plates on the 500 I built, so I assumed those weren't needed. I didn't know which mounts were better, so I appreciate that as well. I really didn't like the original thumb screws. Alum screws into alum mounts seemed to gall easily.

Will have to see how the Savox does on this bird. I assume it will run cool like it does on my 6HVU. It has a really nice fan, a hand wound single-strand stator, and makes about 6000 watts when pushed.

I also hope the carbon canopy tolerates being installed/removed as well or better than the stocker.

Once the box gets here, I will see what else I need. So far, I am up to the Tenax mounts, another battery tray, and likely a motor pulley for the Savox BSM 5055-550.

The red carbon edition is a great looking machine. Saturday I picked up my new G570 with BK servos. It is the red/yellow kit with only one test flight. I installed the lynx gear last night and will be putting the RCBooya mounts, Xnova 560kv motor, Edge 120HV, 13mm belt, Gryphon 7075, and silverline vbar on this week. Hope to have it ready for the Birmingham, AL fun-fly on March 20.
