Default Anyone use a voltage regulator with their AR7100r ?

I am assembling my Trex700n and I just realized that the AR7100r rx doesnt step down the voltage for the cyclic from a 2s lipo pack.

I have 8717's for the cyclic and I know some people use them unregulated straight from a lipo but I'd rather play it safe and knock it down to 6v.

I just wanted to know if this is common practice(using a reg) or what other options there are besides buying HV servos.

If you are using Align servos they work well on 8volts, alot of people used them on 8v including myself with no issues. The Futaba BLS line of servos also work well @ 8volts

I use a 2 cell A123 flight pack with the AR7100 and 8717s. I have not had any problems what so ever running this setup

I'm using a Fromeco Sahara regulator between my 2S Lipo and AR7100R. I have the regulator set to output 6.3V to the receiver.
