Finally got to fly outside..very little wind....flew at the back of my home and nearly lost it over a cornfield......lots of space to fly....what a blast!

I bought this heli because I could fly it inside, and I was quite happy with it. But after I got it outside, I found out it really loves to be outside.

++1.......flew three packs on my stocker and four on my brushless this morning. It loves the extra room. I have a small house as well, so the msr is still here for that.

This weekend, gonna add a faster brushless main motor and a brushless tail motor, should be fun

I am yet to fly my outside. It's been windy here. For right now I have been flying mine in the house. Can't wait to try it outside once the wind calms.

This is an amazing heli once you take it outside! I have flown this thing in fairly strong winds and it holds firm. Winds like for kite flying!

I will say that I don't enjoy it insides but outside

I don't even worry about what the wind is like when I take the msrx out. High wind makes it challenging and I crash a little more, but it's still very fun and good experience correcting for the wind.

I totally agree. You do crash a little more but this thing is so durable (now that I have aluminum swash plate and blade grips).

I will though say that yesterday I did manage to break off two canopy mounts. Left front and right rear. A little drilling and inserting metal rod and epoxy and ta da its like new just stronger. I will say I have never seen my mSRx cart wheel. God that bird was moving!

It's complete luck too. I've slammed my msrx straight into the ground at 30mph and caused no damage. I've also just tapped a metal railing and broken a blade. Just buy some spares and keep on flying.

I just bought the RKH frame on eBay. After it is installed I will try the outside flying. Can't wait for the frame to get here. I read a lot of good things about it.

++1 here too. I was on vacation last week and got to use my msrx outside and it was awesome !! I've got the rakon heli swash, main rotor hub, blade grips, main shaft collar and heat sink which really made a huge difference in the handling of the heli. I got the swash leveling tool as well and started with the swash level and went through a few batteries doing piro's in both directions and kept adjusting the servo links till it would piro nicely in both directions and now it only slightly veers off when I'm done spinning the little guy around. I'm definitely hooked on flying it outside now and will have to find a local park to take it to when I get time off work.

To be honest I didn't like this heli too much when I first got it as the RTF kit but then got the DX6i which was much nicer and then the rakon upgrades and taking the time to adjust the swash just transformed this heli into a totally awesome and fun heli and now it's my favorite on to fly. I just got the MCPx not too long ago and flew it outside a few times while letting the MSRx cool off and it was much easier to fly outside and I think the MSRx practice is really helping me out with flying the MCPx too.

Well, I'm gonna go try to find a place to fly before going to work tonight. Later folks !!

Well, I was considering selling this as I cannot fly in my house, but tonight got down to 3mph winds...I took her outside (I live in a mobile home park) and flew the crap (excuse the language) out of it...almost did a barrel roll...I had all the neighbors watching and ooowing and awwing.....think I'll keep her...had some crashes, but nothing broke......awesome!

This thing is great outside. If I would have taken it outside sooner I would never have bought my 120SR.

It loves the room! Don't worry about the wind. you'll learn to fight it and you can take it out in 10+mph winds.
