Default Why can I never remember how to bind one of these receivers!

I was just looking to bind a new R3 and I went through what I expected would be the most likely way to bind it, and now I'm looking up instructions AGAIN.... I think I've had to look for these instructions up every time I setup a new receiver.

Why are these so non-intuitive or just not sticking with me?

BTW I found the instructions... Again and everything is fine Again.

Yet another reason why I love my jetibox pro or whatever it's called.

I just connect the RX to the jetibox and select bind in the menu.

Then I turn the TX on.

I think its because we are used to seeing a flashing light on the receiver.

Just putting a bind plug in and turning on the tx is foreign to me as well.

1. Bind plug
2. Power the receiver
3. Power the TX
4. Power off everything
5. Remove the bind plug

It's not a big deal, but it just didn't stick.

I shouldn't have bothered posting this, it just surprised me that I couldn't just do it.

This is just a man never wanting to read the instructions issue.

Pretty much the same procedure as Spektrum. I have to look up the instructions for Futaba now since switching, there is no bind plug with Futaba .

I never bound to a Spektrum receiver, so I never used a bind plug for it either.
I used Skookum FBL controllers and satellites.
There was a menu option to bind the sats and then you turned on the TX holding the bind button down.

Just saying, each has their own procedure. I laughed when I read the thread since it reminded me of what I've been going through. With Futaba 7008SB you bind using the software in the Tx, 6303SB its in the powering up sequence and I still can't remember which you use the plastic screwdriver to depress the button on the receiver and when or how many times, I just read the instructions.

It's even simpler than that

After it binds, No need to turn tx and rx off, just remove the bind plug and it goes out of bind mode,

Remember to pull bind plug FIRST before removing power...
