Default Opinions on a 700-800 size heli

Probably still months away from being able to get a 700 size heli but wanted to get your guys help! Should I get a 7hv, and AleeS rush 750 which I can get the 750 Mm stretch kit, or pay an extra few hundred dollars and get an 800 xxtreme. Just posting to see what you guys would do

You really should have posted this in the Main forum because at least 95% of the people here will recommend the 7HV; Main is better for comparisons. If you'd like it moved there, let me know: I can move it. Please don't create another thread on the subject in Main.

If you want a 700 get the 7Hv. Bias and I haven't seen a Rush first hand,yet

If you want a 700 that can stretch to a 750 go Rush. Although I have a feeling we may see this soon for 7Hv if David Kettlehut get's his way.

If you want 800 of course go Logo XXtreme

The 7HV ultimate for SURE!!!

But I'm biased as I've never seen the Alees 750, and the 800 is going to be more than an extra few hundred dollars more in the end.

rush 750 looks like a bad ass. the goblin is a badd ass but expensive to own and maintain
the X7 looks pretty cool a few people talked me out of that saying its a speed demon and 3D machine but not really smooth.. senergy E7 looks awesome, and the whiplash looks awesome and i hear its super smooth..

the 7HV seems to be the best all around for any type of flying from what i have read, so i went with the 7HV, i feel it was a very good choice. awesome machine..

If you are looking for a 700-750 class heli a Diabolo is definitely worth considering.

It has been in production for about a year and has a very happy and supportive customer base. The designer Gerd is very responsive to suggestions as well.

You may want to consider a Synergy E6/E7 with TT tail. Great design and very high quality. Customer service is outstanding! Matt really stands behind his products, and is always willing to help out if there are issues.

Whatever I currently own is best ..... realistically every 90 size machine out there is fantastic and will make you happy. Maybe you could narrow down what you want specifically out of the thing to help us give you pros and cons.

Will this have any influence on what your flying?

Or my flying had influence on what's being sold I haven't stopped flying my 6HV since I visited you up north in the sticks But now I can get parts locally. I hope this move will this bring Compass to a wider audience up here in Canada. Personally I will be getting a warp in a few weeks when it comes out, but no changes to the rest of my fleet.

HaHa,
I know you are loving those 6Hv's just curious if your making the jump to the 7Hv as your competition machine.

I've read you say you haven't found the love for the Goblin yet, after 6 months with it you'll be sure, Must be there now, what do ya think.

With the release of the V2 and Ultimate it must be a little tempting to come back to Compass.

If you guy's want to come up for one last go shoot me a PM.
Weather now is about what we had then, I'm still trying to squeeze 10 flights a day.

I guess I'd like to see the pros and cons of the 7hv and the rush 750. And the logo 800 xxtreme in the combo with the scorpion motor, vbar, and esc would have everything I need but servos. So the combo is the price of what I figured the 7hv would be with top of the line everything. So the xxtreme price will be about the price of servos more then these other kits

It isn't really about the Goblin. I have been flying 50 sized machines for the last 3 years, I am dangerously comfortable flying them (think faster and closer than when I was up at your place). I feel very in tune with this size heli. I still find a 90 size machine very intimidating. My focus this winter is to log enough flights (200+) on the gobbler to get close to that level of comfort.

I have no plans to change the gobbler for the 7hv, I think the gobbler is more my match atm , as it flies very similar to the 6hv due to the light blade loading.

Scott (donkonu23) had a nice comparison between the 7HV and Rush 750 in the Alees forums. He owns both, and I trust his opinions on things.

I'm clearly going to be biased, but I'm thrilled with the Rush. The quality on this kit is absolutely top-notch, and the price is really low for a heli in this category. What I have noticed is that the Rush takes a beating and just keeps asking for more. Where other birds I've owned can fly the same maneuvers, I felt like it was hard on them. Not so with the Rush.

The 7HV is a great heli, no doubt. I like its design as well, and can appreciate its good qualities. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the Helis mentioned above, but you can definitely go "more right" with some.

Just one additional thing to consider regarding the 800 choice: the required motors, batteries, escs, and motors required substantially increase the cost of these Helis. They're awesome, but expensive.

After a LOT of research my TOP helis were the 7HV, Rush 750, X7, and Goblin. ALL would be incredible... but I picked the Goblin due mainly to its visibility in the air.
