Default Esc questions...

So I bought a used furion 6, it has a cc160hv esc and a kde 600xf-530 motor.

I'm not sure what will happen from having such a big esc? From what I've read most people use 80 hv or 120hv esc's

Nothing.... bigger the better.
Only down side is it takes up more space and it's a bit heavier..

The extra amperage isn't going to harm anything - the biggest factor with an oversized ESC in a small(er) airframe is weight. Are you running 6s, 10s, 12s?

10S you can probably make do with an 80HV-120HV and save some weight.
6S you can drop it down to a 120A Castle or a nice 100A unit like Kontronik.
