Default can the 750 do a slow engine spool up?

Is there a way to have the 750 governor do a slow nitro spool up from idle during an auto? Most electric governors will ramp up the motor from stopped to governed speed either slowly, during initial start, or faster, during auto bail out. Looking over the 750 governor operations it looks like the 750 won't take over the throttle until it has already ramped up to %60 of set rpm. The problem is that during a auto bailout when going from TH to IU the throttle servo will first slam right to the throttle curve setting. This isn't good for the engine or clutch. I would like to have the governor kick in right at idle and do a controlled spool up to the set rpm. It has settings to control the rate of rpm ramp up from both initial and head speed change situations but it won't do this until you first get to %60 rpm. I guess I could fool it and have one governor setting be 500rpm to have it lock on then go to 2200 to have it do a controlled spool up but I would then loose a IU just to do this.

Why can't I just force the governor to be on at the lowest rpm it can handle?

what transmitter are you using? i had a 10cg and 14mz and i set a delay on my throttle so that everytime i change modes, the engine doesn't change rpm's abruptly

7C The throttle channel does not have any delay function. It is frustrating because as it says in the 750 ACTUAL rpm must be at least%50 to keep the governor active.

This parameter tells the governor at what percentage of the set rpm it is to become active. The
default value is 60 %. In this case, the governor will not engage until the engine rpm reaches 60
% of the set rpm. If you feel that the time for governor engagement is too slow, decrease the value
to 50 ~ 55%. The starting time will be faster

For the Beast X system the nitro governor will take over spool up when the SELECTED throttle position is above %25. So when the governor is armed it will take over whenever your TC goes above %25 and take over spool up at the head speed change rate. So if your IU1 is set at a flat %55 and you flip into it the governor will do the spool up to whatever RPM that TC percentage equals.

The only way I have found to do it is with a condition delay in the tx. With the 14MZ it works beautifully. If the tx you're using does not have this capability, I think you're out of luck.

That is what I think as well. Sometimes someone that knows the system a lot better than me will have an idea but I guess not this time. It would be nice if futaba put an auto-bailout feature in the software on the next release. It looks like so far beast and vbar can do this with a nitro now.

yes it can. you can change the delay in the cgy gov in the unit. mine was actually so slow it took like 45 seconds to spool up. needless to say i got rid of that fast. read the 1.4 manual, it shows you exactly where to look.

Good advice, need to investigate bit more. Can you provide thr-curve here?

In my case looks like egov/cgy miss the beginning moment when need to get control over motor speed, and then "forget" to get it back - and this directly connected w/ my thr.curve. I'll checking everything again.

If you need to bailout of an auto- a slow spool up wont work on a nitro- remember the motor has to engage the clutch. Not to mention that the rpm usually has to be 60% of the selected speed for the Governor to take over.

I fly CGY750's on my Trex700, Fury 55 and Outrage Velocity N2. You can go into the Governor Expert Menu and adjust the Revolution change up delay. Page 25 of the 1.4 v manual. Default is set to 8,with 2-20 being the limits. The only other thing to adjust is the governor On Revo- default is 60% of your selected headspeed. In normal mode you could set this higher and just slowly advance your throttle- but that would put you into positive pitch and when the Governor takes over you'll be taking off rather abruptly. On a Nitro the Cgy750 would be set to Optimize and would ignore your throttle curve once the governor engages. I just come out of throttle hold- its hard on the clutch- but crashing is hard on alot more parts.

Isnt this what the Start Dly value in the Gov expert menu controls? The speed at which the gov kicks in. You can also change the speed at which the gov will ramp up and down between your set headspeeds in IU1 and IU2 etc with the Up Dly and Down Dly values in the same menu I believe.
