T-Rex 600 Flybar flight Stabilizer
Hello everyone,
I hope you had a great Christmas and wonderful New Year. I have a Rex-600 electric and have not been flying it for some time, have to admit that I have been playing around with multi rotors but wanted to get my Rex-600 back in the air. My heli is a Flybar version and wanted to find out if I could add a 3 axis stabilizer system to it as I just wanted to do some easy flying around and have the safety net of the return to level flight a stabilizer could offer. Had a look at a number of forum posts and have not found much info about anyone doing this. If there is, I would appreciate knowing how you went about it, what products you used and how successful it was. Thank you for any comments and help. Regards, Josephr. |

The Spirit flybarless controller has a flybar mode which adds self levelling stabilisation and 'rescue' to a flybar heli.
It has the additional advantage that if you ever wanted to upgrade to flybarless then you already have the controller to do it.

Looking at it and reading reviews it looks good on the face of it bar the fact it only has one satellite port and is not the cheapest stabilisation system. For flybarless, though, it does present good value for money providing it is available in your country/shipping cost being reasonable

Played with a few of these systems back in the old flybar days. Just be aware most are effected by high vibes! The flymentor worked well, still have one in my parts collection. It may well be the cheapest most viable option. There are some superb setup threads here at HF also.

The Spirit pro has two sat ports. The standard Spirit is one of the cheapest FBL that has self level and rescue, the Pro is a bit more expensive.
