Default Cyclic pitch

On page 6 in the manual it say 7 degrees ail and ele for the advance setting. If I can get more without binding is it ok to do so? I have a few 3g systems and am trying not to buy a fourth. I want it to roll and pitch at a faster rate!!

I was just wandering if binding is the limit on a fly bar system or if their is some other limit.

If you can get more pitch without binding that is fine. however more cyclic has to do with the paddles also not just the degrees. I tried the KBDD's on mine and they worked great.

The cyclic pitch recommendation only applies to the flybar head. The cyclic pitch range for FBL is dependent on the unit's preference.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Mine is the flybar head. If I can't get more responce out of it then I will make it FBL. I just don't want to spend the money at this time to go FBL.

I know I dial down the cyclic to 7 degrees after I set the head up with the advanced settings. Maybe it was 9 before. I will change my cyclic to max without bind.

What about the paddles. Will it roll and pitch faster if I move the flybar to the rear holes on the paddles? I don't care as much about stability as I do agility.

This helicopter can be set up to roll just as fast as any FBL heli! flybar. My son likes the Outrage CF paddles. That's the great thing about this heli, all the adjustments allows you to set exactly like YOU want it!

Well I have it set-up to 10 degrees cyclic and 12 collective pitch. I can't find any binding anywhere, but the linkages in the head get very close to the hub. They don't touch, but they are within a mm. Nothing binds when I spin the blades by hand.

Should I be ok? Plan to fly tomorrow to see how this new setup works!

What head settings are you running ? I run the advanced but with the wider cage and only get about 8-8.5 before the head binds.

That's what I am running. My cage is at the narrow setting. Mine is part of the first production run Thanksgiving 09. G2,S2,E2,B3,M2,H2. My 12fg has a swash ring menu. I think that is how I get away with it.

Flew it today with the paddles in the aft position. Hated it. Would almost snap in the direction you camand for 90 degrees and the roll normal. I reduced cyclic and still hated it. Moved the paddles back to forward postion. Problem solved.

I think I wait for Futaba to release their CGY750. Then I may go that route if everyone raves about it.
