I got a Heliproz set that was inexpensive and came with a ball end and regular end for each size.

The dynamite work for me, I have ground the tip down a bit to get fresh surface but itll last another year b4 I put in the extra bit I bought with the 1.5. Its also good to have a few different brands, fasteners vary so sometimes a different hex fits better. I had a hobbyking with 4 bits in the handle, its good but I broke the 1.5 by chucking it in a drill to redo a frame. It snapped but thats because it was hardened, it was a good tool. The reviews on hk said the tool changed quality so I havent rebought.

I use the Turnigy Hex drivers from hobbyking and they are the best I've ever seen and a lot cheaper than Thorp. 1 year full-time use on the 1.5 mm one and it still looks like new.

+1 for MIP thorps. After my cheaper 1.5mm hex driver broke I got an MIP, it's lasted through much use and abuse. The tip still has totally rigid corners with no sign of rounding.

andrew you're being kinda harsh with Horizon, they seem to be bending over to please you.
I expect the chinese tools to be garbage, raising the price doesn't turn junk into gold

Yep.... I have these too, have been providing quality service for years with no issues.

The tips are spring steel that is TiN coated, so, if you are breaking them there may be something else up.

These are just as good as MIP or HUDY....

the metal is tough, that's for sure. but, I've spun the shaft inside of my 1.5. it still works for 90% of the stuff i'd need it for. but, if i really need to put some torque on it, it lets go.

i have a set of WIHA that are guaranteed 100% for life. but, i got tired of sending them in.

i still go with MIP 100%. but, now you've heard of 2 ;-)

Isn’t there a grub-screw holding the shaft in? Just tighten the screw....
If you need to apply that much torque to remove a bolt… then heating up the screw/bolt is probably a good idea as there is a good amount of thread-lock holding it.

I have the below set made by "Dynamite", but plan on getting some MIP's, just because.

My Dynamite drivers have lasted me for about 5 years now, maybe they were better back then?

Ya, sounds steep.... but pretty standard. @ $15-30 a pop (depending on size, tool type) it adds up.

I expect my Mip drivers to last as long as I'm in this hobby. They are brilliant.

LOL. These are not spring steel, no way..

Those were the first set I had (still have them) and the larger drivers are OK but the 2mm and 1.5mm are weak and round off easily even on the Align screws..
