Do you mean something swinging 360mm blades or sized between the 300x and 450x?

There are plenty of good 360mm options out there already. I would only use Blade when there are no alternatives available (like the micro helis).
I'm still waiting for them to fix the 130X so I can pick one up...

I was about to give up on Blade... but that 550x price cut and 15% coupon got the better of me.

I know. I've been flying a 550X since last year and just bought another "basic" kit with that 15% off coupon to have as a complete set of spare parts. Then I got a wild hair up my ass this weekend and ordered a Gaui X3!

I hope so! Everyone seems to really like their X3. I bought the basic kit and I'll be building this one up with the good stuff instead of replacing Blade 450X/future CFX weak servos, ESC and the absolutely crappy motor that you're forced to buy with the heli...again... I already have a highly modified 450X and it's good enough for what it is on 3S, but an X3 running 360mm blades on 6S? Can't wait!

yeah the good stuff....
I bought the $200 airframe and put $700 worth of electronics in it.
It certainly lives up to the hype, which by the way was started for the most part by the pilots not the Gaui marketing team

Regarding the Gaui, I paid $425 for a box stock Blade 450X back when that was a "good deal" and wound up spending $100 on metal gear cyclic servos (even more with the tail servo), $85 on a better ESC after the stock one fried and almost caused a crash, $50 on a better motor after two free stock 440H replacements ate their bearings even with the locktite mod and then some... All those upgrades were required in my book to finally get a somewhat "sporty" and, most importantly, reliably flying 450 FBL heli. If I were to do it again, it would not be a current or updated Blade 450X of any iteration, especially if they keep the same electronics/motor in a new 450X version as they did with the 300X so-called "upgraded" 300CFX.

As for the bare bones Gaui X3, I'll take a solid, well reviewed, much less expensive $200 airframe and put that "forced to buy our electronics" money towards the good stuff on a better flying 360mm 6S class 450 heli. I would much prefer purchasing the electronics/motor of my choice instead of paying for marginal electronics in a BNF "kit" and having to replace them later, even if it's warmed over Blade 450CFX "wow new frame!" V2/2nd gen whatever.

All that said, I do like my Blade 450X. MY highly modified 450X that turned out to be way too expensive for what it should be, which is somewhat and quite a bit

Default Blade 360X Pro Series

I wouldn't count on a stretch kit from blade, but other aftermarket companies sell them.

Going 350-360mm is 6S mandatory, just high recommended, or only needed for crazy power?

How many out there are stretched and still running 3S?

So I take it you're happy with your 550x then?

And yeah, I considered an X3 a while back. Got a used Warp with all the high end electronics, MKS, Kontronic, etc... for about as much as people were paying for a 450x, so that was pure win.

And yeah, sadly it takes a lot of upgrades to make a 450x really nice. Once you've spent money on servos and a motor, might as well just get an esc and all the rest of the metal bits. I'm gonna put the MH frame on my #1 and sell my stock #2. I don't need two of them. lol

Yes and it's been one of the most reliable and maintenance free helis I've ever owned. The only non-stock things on it are KBDD tail blades, Lynx canopy posts and Lynx main gear/pinion. Only the canopy posts were needed and the other things were personal preference.

Anybody know of any confirmed specs, pics, or announcement dates they wish to share regarding the 450CFX?
