I want to get a set up that allows me to run both 3s and 4s but want to ask if thats even a possibility. I have 3x4s packs not being used.I was looking at getting this set up...What do you guys think?

Scorpion HK-2221-10 V2 (3000 KV) Trex 450 (4S)
Castle Creations Phoenix Ice 50A 8s (33.6V) Brushless ESC

A popular motor used for both 3 and 4S is the 2221-8.

I ended up preferring the Neu 1107H/2Y, which gave me great power and a minute more flight than the -8.

You will not be able to just swap between 3 and 4S (unless you don't mind a really low HS with the 3S packs). You'll have to swap pinions along with the packs.

Whats a good pinion for a 4s. Im running a 13 with my 3s

I ran an 11t pinion governed with a Jazz ESC for 3300-3400HS.

Non-governed, you'd need a 10t most likely.
