Default Blade SR internals

Hello,

I have a Blade SR that I recently purchased. I would like to use any/all of the parts to build a new heli. Would it be possible to accomplish this and if so what is the largest electric heli I could purchase that these parts would be usable in?

Thank You,
Andy

Your battery would be useful in a Gaui X2, and maybe the vertical stabilizer.

I was hoping to use all of the electronics minus maybe the motor and speed control. Do you think it is feasible?

The electronics on that heli are one of its weak points. The servos are made of forged
swiss cheese. The Gyro holds a heading like a blind man on the 405.
Do yourself a favor and shelf the damn thing and build a heli with quality electronics.
Read the other thread on the SR and feel the love.

Yes the receiver is the pretty much the only thing... so save it

You want to use the rest of the parts? Here is what you do.

Go to your LHS with your SR in hand, tell the LHS you want to buy an Align 450 V2 FBL kit ( or similar ). Pay the man or woman and promptly take your SR outside. As you leave carefully place the SR under and behind your rear wheels. Start your car and proceed to back up.

You have now successfully put your SR to good use in your building of a new heli.

P.S. if you walked or didn't drive I am sure someone in or near the LHS would be glad to help you out. Chances are they have felt your pain too

There's possible and then there's practical. Generally speaking it's impractical to move electronics to a larger helicopter. You may be able to move them to something smaller like a 250.

I honestly would not use anything off the Blade SR. Order a kit and go from the start, you'll be much happier. Use the SR what it was made for, crashing.
