Default Step E Tail endpoints.

Just want to reconfirm proper way to setup Tail Endpoints.

- Set Tail servo horn as close to 90 degree.
- Set Tail pitch close to 0 degree on Tail Blades
- Set Gryo on radio to about 35% to Rate mode.
- Leave Rudder trim at center (netural no subtrim or trimming)
- Goto Step E on Beastx and set endpoints.

I don't fly 3D yet, should I still max tail endpoints range without binding? Seems I get alot of pitch on one side of rudder, than the other. Is it because I have tail rod connected too close to center or servo horn is not at 90 degrees?

Would setting max endpoints cause excessive horizontal tail wag?
When I set max rudder endpoints, heli would turn too much on me.

When at 90, you're tail slider should be close to it's center point (where rate mode should hold your tail). If it isn't you should either adjust your tail servo rod or adjust the location of the tail servo. If you change anything mechanical on the tail, make sure to re-do the tail endpoints in the BeastX.

You should set the BeastX up with the max allowed throws. Max sure that your tail links do not snap over from too much throw. Mine will do that before they bind. See the BeastX setup videos on here for great tail setup instructions.

After you give max throws for the BeastX, you can use your transmitter to set travel adjust or expo (if you're in TX mode on the BeastX).

Tail wag should not be caused by the amount of travel allowed in the tail.

Actually I think it is OK to have a few (6 or so) degrees of blade pitch with the tail servo horn at 90 degrees and the rudder stick centered, just to counteract the torque at hovering and reduce the amount of work that the servo makes preferentially in one direction (to continuously counteract motor torque).

That's why I said "where rate mode should hold your tail".
