Default Futaba 8FGH and Governor help

I had a Futaba 7C and I changed to an 8FGH. Problem is I can't get my governor to work. I have the Align governor. I got fed up and tried to INH in all modes, but it limited my throttle to not even allow me to hover. Finally just unplugged it and flew without the governor.

It is set up in "condition" now. Do I have to assign it to the same switch as the flight modes and do the % as they were in the 7C? Thanks.

I dont have my 8FG with me at the moment but the governor certainly works in combination with my Trex700N with align governor.

A couple of things that are important.
-You need to reverse the governor signal.
-when you switch the governor on does the light go green?
-You need to calibrate the throttle signal for the align governor.
-I have put my governor % on 76% to get a headspeed of around 1900~2000RPM. The chart in the manual didnt seem to be correct.

In normal mode I have the governor inhibited and in Idle-up 1 I have it on 76%.
The throttle curve in normal is just 0-100 and in idle up 1 a V shape with 60% the lowest IIRC.

Thumbs up Hello gov.

Hmm,
I used governor mode on my Align BL-35X ESC - it worked okay.
I have now changed to CC Phoenix45 ESC's (gov. of course), but AFAIR
I found the throttle % setting that gave me the headspeed I wanted and I
made a flat throttle curve in idle 1 and 2. Normal flat, except 0% at start.

Does that make any sense?

Cheers
Erik

Hi happy 4th of july, well i flew my align trex 600 with align governor with my futaba 8fg. It was easy to setup and easy to to adjust rpm. What i did is, i maxed my endpoint on governor, i placed governor on mx ripm, i also reverse the governor ch, then i put my trottle all the way down, i turned it on, then i turned on my switch on my heli, then i pushed and hold that governor button until it flashes then i raised the trottle all the way up and blam i was done it turns off then it turned on. I activated the governor (on radio) but i didn't assign a switch, i adjusted normal well i'm on 85 and i'm happy i just hover and did some punch out on first tank of today, second flight, i did some sport flying but muffler got louder and louder haha it got loose very loose, yet rpm didn't drop, i didn't lost power, well punchout was eh enough for me you know what i mean.

Futaba 8fg with align governor KICK ASS. i ONLY PAID 30 BUCKS FOR GOVERNOR thank you rcmiket!!!!!!!!!!!. When you're on governor manu i setup a way so when i flip my idle up i can adjust my governor there. I don't use a seperate switch it just some how bind to my idle up switch.
