Finally got my hands on a 130x, did a test hover to check everything. Love the stability, no where near my hp05s mcpx. Now its time to make her fly better.
I noticed you can adjust gear mesh on the main gear with boom placement. Is there any way to adjust lash of the torque tube itself? I can grab my torque tube and posh it back and forth ~1mm. Also grabbing my rear torque tube gear stationary and rotating the head the front umbrella gear rotates about 2mm before the gear catches. Shaft is slipping in the gear, not talking about mesh with the main gear. How can I tighten that up? |

It's almost like the front gear doesn't have a tight fit on the shaft, but when I hold the main gear I can put a decent amount of pressure and nothing appears to be slipping. ![]() This is right out of the box, before even spooling up the heli.

Hi
The shaft has a flat spot on each end , the front one is longer than the rear one , as the front gear is thicker than the rear gear . If the rear gear is popping off the drive shaft , it is a good bet that the boom is not seated properly . Making sure the boom is seated front and rear is important , there have been a few reports that sound like the boom is not easy to seat . Be sure to loosen the boom brace clamp , so you are not fighting it when you seat the boom . HTH , best regards |

I have notice the samething with my 130. The torque moves I have pushed in a few times after a few flights but it never comes out.

And while looking at mine it doesn't look like the torque tube is slipping at the back gear when I move it, I suspect it is slipping inside the front gear. I guess I should take it apart and twist the gears while holding the shaft so I can see where the play is.

I took my heli apart last night to give it a once over. I thought my gear mesh was fine but after two packs there was a lot of residue around the metal crown gear.
The sloppy tail drive is caused by the cuts in the torque tube. I hate to say this but it looks like someone just filed a flat spot into the wire (I probably got the guy that hated his job! knowing my luck) and quite poorly. This results in a very poor fit between the metal crown gear and torque tube. I have access to a mill, I will try to cut my own torque tube to get rid of the excess play. Also shimming the torque tube in the boom, and shimming the tail rotor shaft in the case would reduce a lot of play. I think taking out all the slop will give a better performing tail and less broken gears during accidents. |

I took mine apart this morning, what I ended up doing was folding a piece of dental floss in half and sticking in through the B gear then pushing the B gear back on the TT.
The floss made up for the loose fit between the B gear and the TT. I made sure the C gear was pushed all the way on the shaft first then pushed the B gear on, I figured it was better to have the C gear on as far as it would go considering it was plastic and the B gear was metal.
