Default Painting Nightmare

I was putting on my last coat of primer and then my canopy fell. In the process of sanding it smooth again and basically starting over. Will post pics when done.

The primer is the easiest thing to fix, imo.

Yep, I just scraped it all off. It's just that it was the last coat I was putting on and it was perfect. Now it isn't quite perfect, but pretty close.

Did that on the 1st lid I did for my 1st T600... Dropped it right on its nose and shattered the tip of the canopy. Quick coat of epoxy inside and then some epoxy and microballoons to fill in the busted out gelcoat and you'd never know it'd been dropped.

When i blow it this early, i'm grabbing a rag and thinner and wiping it clean. It happens...... at least this way your right back in the game in minutes. Depending what kind of primer, keep it thin as possible unless it's a 2k type

A few months ago, with the help of a dog, I managed to drop a lexan body I had just put the last coat of clear on straight into a hot oven. Watched it curl instantly.
