I talked to heli21 and he may make a run of aluminum braces if enough people are interested. I think they were $50 each even though he only had a couple made last time.

They are listed in the "Chassis" column:

No pic, though...

Are these any good (second picture from the top, not cross braces)? I've got pair of them with my heli. Worth replacing with Jan's (well, kind of rhetoric question but still ) ?

@AcidDrink:
I like the brackets from HI very much, they certainly do the trick, no need to replace them IMHO. Personally, I just don't need them any more since I have downgraded back to the 4525... (sometimes, less is more
However, I believe that a cross frame bracket is more important!

Thanks, I may leave them installed.

I had a look at cross frame bracket, but it's too intrusive, I don't really want to drill holes in the frame.

Xera 4530 with Jan's stiffeners. No marks on motor bell from frames after 4 flights, I hope it will stay so.

I run a machine shop based in PA, USA and might be willing to have the Mick style braces machined if and sell them if the pricing works out. How many people want them? Does anyone have CAD drawings of them to work from?

I'd also like a "go-ahead" from Mick to do this as its his design originally. Does anyone have his email address?

Did you get any more flights with these? I seriously consider purchasing a pair (4530 motor).
