Default Sab Goblin New news

We are very happy to finally resolve all patent conflicts with Compass Model and all production is now resumed. We are still in process of patenting our new main gear system so we can release more pictures and manual as soon as possible together with the first shipment.

Great news, but they are also saying what we were suspecting: the delay on first batch has been due to the patent issue. Is this a too artful interpretation?

Default I believe the delay

Is because of a redesign of the materials used in the main gear.

Seams like the have some patents in the drive train, at least that's what was posted about the delay of the manual release.

Why is this so important?
I just want my helicopter. I am absolutely thrilled that it has been finalized..

Great news, the only part that worried me a bit is the quote.

I hope that means after the Christmas break, not that they stopped production while resolving the patent issue.

I agree with you. It isn't so important. I just noticed an apparent contradiction with previous notices where SAB announced that the patent issue didn't had any impact on the schedule.

But you are correct: it's amazing that currently they are on track!

Where's the similarity in the landing gear?
TDR has ali tube skids and the struts are solid i.e no triangular cutout in the struts
TDR has 4 parts , CompassWarp has 2 parts with each strut/skid cut from one pice CF

The similarity in the design is in the way the anti rotation bracket is installed

They were in contact with Jan Henseleit and got an okay for designing it the way it is.
