Although I agree, determining which part to buy can be frustrating to say the least.

I would just ask Align to reconsider this decision, and if anything, make online manuals and part information MORE available.
Come on Align, give us a little help here!
they gotta fix the lambo first

Default Totally confused about electronics

Hi wondering if anyone can help me. I am new to rc helicopters. I have bought and built a T Rex 550e DFC super combo. I am making a start on setting up the electronics and i am totally lost.
I have the following equipment
Align 3GX flybarless system
Castle talon 90 ESC
3x Align DS615 servos for swashplate
Align DS655 for tail rotor
Spektrum AR8000 receiver
Align 22.2v 5200mAh 40C Li-Po battery

Instructions from all of these items seem to conflict and i am lost
Can anyone help

It does show the parts but I cant seem to find the part numbers to order stuff for my TREX 550 DFC
I know of people who have bought the wrong parts for their DFC like booms and main gears
Would be nice if some site had the part listing and numbers for the DFC model

Good luck with that your better off finding out where your local RC Helicopter club is and going there with your Heli, Radio and Laptop computer
Best to take your tools with you too and also get a USB extension lead as you will need it for the 3GX USB

That is strange, I used the partsfinder a few weeks ago for a new tailboom, torque tube, tail control rod and some other parts and all partnumbers where the correct ones. It where all the longer ones for the 550 DFC kit to make the tail Trex 600 long. Also gears where the correct ones to the new version gearinghub that is used in the DFC kit.

You and they all really have a DFC kit?

Sorry my mistake I just worked out you need to click on the small numbers in the circles to get the proper part numbers to pop up

The original links for the manuals don't seem to work anymore.
Does anyone have a PDF of the V1 550 please?

I'm particularly interested in the parts descriptions for the old tail. The V1 grips and hub are different from the V2 and current design.

Those manuals do not include the original V1 550.

OK, I found a paper copy of the one I'm after. It is KX021002T Titled "TRex 550E ... 3G ..system". It has the earlier tail with a constant 5mm diam spindle. The later ones have a spindle that steps down from 6 to 5mm. The oldest V2 one I have is KX021007AT which has the newer frame outline and tail grips but is flybar.
