There is a trick to getting a bailout working for the YEP esc

In normal flight mode you set a throttle curve of 5% or 6% flat in governor mode. Idle up 1 and Idle up two use throttle curves you usually fly at in stunt modes. Anything below 5% and the headspeed does not spool up fast enough to recover (bailout will not be activated). If you go above 7%or 8% the esc will drive the rotor blades to rotate when you flick down to normal form idle up 1. You do not want this, you want the headspeed to drop to zero when flicking between idle 1 to normal flight mode. Test this on the ground.

When you do an auto instead of using throttle hold use your flight mode switch and flick down to normal mode. If you get in trouble flick your switch from normal to idle up 1 and the headspeed spools up quickly enough to recover and fly again.

Try it on the ground first to see how it works and then when you see it works you can try it in autos. It usually takes three to 4 seconds to spool up to full headspeed. More than enough time to recover.

So the normal flight mode becomes your throttle hold switch when doing autos on the YEP esc. The trick is to remember never fly on normal flight mode.

Since I have a DX-8 can I set that line up in one TH since I have two?

What your doing is a baby auto. Its not a true autorotation unless you have to use negative pitch to keep the blades spinning before the flare at the end

I like this kind of video best, a half good 3D flight, and finish it off with an auto...

This machine is tired. I bought it used, and the motor has to have 500+ flights on it, maybe more... The ESC may have double that, the guy who had it before me, used the ESC on his last three 450s, and he flies ALOT!!

I'm not sure what you mean

You can only set up in a flight mode. So you can use normal flight mode idle1 or Idle 2. Pick the flight mode you use the least. I have a dx8 and use throttle hold switch to power up the motor for flight in idle 1 or idle 2. I use normal flight mode If I want to practice my autos.

If you use this method for auto's the esc will always think its in a flight mode and will return to your idle up headspeed every time you try an auto on a battery.

If you use throttle hold for autos the esc detects that you are no longer in a throttle mode and when you switch back to a flight mode the esc reads what voltage the battery is at and then returns to the headspeed based on the voltage in the packs and thus the headspeed will change every time as voltage of the cells drop the longer you fly.
