Default Scorpion HK-4525-520 Ultimate Edition ??

Innov8tive have "announced" a HK-4525-520 Ultimate Edition with YY winding

Just wondering if Georges or someone can chime in with how this motor differs from the current HK-4525-520LE, particularly if paired with a Scorpion Commander V 50V 130A ESC

I'm thinking of using this combo on my TDR with the VBar governor

I like the sound of this motor. I had a HeliJive to fit to my TDR, but had to change to the Scorpion 130a V5 because I have a 4525LE. The Kontronic will not work well with the delta wind of that motor.

the 4525 l.e. in delta ended with number 999.
the 4525 "ultimate" is a really new motor in the same housing and with the same statorshape.
it is switched YY now instead of delta.
so also the number of turns must be changed to generate the same n spec again.
they went to the same scheme now, which just was used in 4530 l.e. and 4535 l.e.

the YY- scheme generates less losses and a better readable back-emk.
so the work for the controller is easier to do.
it also prevent circular currents.
the YY will work with jive without using ksa.

btw: at scorpion factory site you can find, that also a second batch of 4530 l.e. (4+5x1,5YY) will come on market.

Didn't know the 4530 was YY too, it's listed on their website as 9-turn Y (?)
4535 is listed as YY though.
Scorpion doing a great job with their development imo
Hope we see a 4035 YY with massive windings too sometime

zmooth,

to do these windings is much more work compared to the "normal" multistrand delta!
so I think, we never will see this in the cheaper normal serial motors.

if you really want such YY 4035 motor, you should ask guys like holger lambertus (www.slowflyworld.de) or torro from germany or GMAURO from italy or stolla from south africa or dekker from the netherlands or georg or simon from austria to complete a 4035 V3 12N10P scorpion kit in this way for you!

I'm working my own winding lab slowly, still waiting for pliers and found access to a megger but I thought it'd be great to be able to buy so much of a motor off the self But you are right, I've yet to wound a single-strand big motor and I can already see it's alot of work

ps: thanks for sharing the knowledge !

Yes I'm subscribed to it since day one, but wouldn't call myself a winder. At least yet

I wonder how many of the 4530LE this time??? First was 100 made.

The 4525LE i never had problem without KSA.

Remember with mode 8 on helijive kontronik still does not recommend other than pyro.
My 4535LE killed helijive almost 2 times!!! and thats YY

Default By killed you mean shut down from over current?

I am about to use the 4535 with a helijive on my goblin so I would rather not KILL my helijive. Any info would help. Was that mode 8?

better for that motor is ksa mode jive governor, let your friend try it, keep jive percentage under 65 percent, he, may not notice a difference
