Unhappy Gpro Won't Do Anything When Connected to Computer

Hi all. I'm getting very flustered tonight with the Gpro. I'm building and setting up a 600 Pro DFC for a guy and he gave me a 10J and 3008SB receiver to use. I downloaded the Align software on my computer. It is version 1.2. My computer is Window 7. The box the Gpro came in indicated the unit was/is version 1.1. I downloaded version 1.2 but I couldn't update it because it wouldn't connect. The receiver is bound to the transmitter and works (I plugged a servo into slot 1 and it moved fine). I hooked the s-bus lead from the Gpro to the receiver in Sbus1 slot. I then applied power from an LiFe battery to the battery slot on the Grpo. The receiver powers on and turns green. I then connected to computer and I get....nothing. It never would connect or do anything at all. Nothing. I've messed with it for two hours tonight including hooking it up conventionally, rebinding rx to tx, and shutting down program several times and starting it back up. What do I do. I've got a V-Bar and a CGY on an 8FGH and I've never had any problems. Please help.

Make sure the USB cable is totally inserted into the gpro. The cable should sit right against the gpro's outside casing. When I first tried to set my up, it wouldn't link up with my PC. The plug just seemed to go half way in. Also, make sure you're using the align cable that came with the unit.
