Mounting servos

Hi.

I am planning to run aligns in my new 6hv. But I am having trouble mounting the servos.

Are the self tapping screws meant to be held by the small holes in the carbon fibre? Or do I also need a nut on the other side.

Also, how are peopl mounting the tail servo? Cos I cannot fit it between the frames...

The servos are mounted using the self tapping screws with a small silver washer to trap the servo, the screws tap into the C/F and into the plastic servo nuts..

The tail servo doesnt mount between the frames, its fixed on the outside of the frames with the screws are coming in from the rear of the servo into the frame and servo nuts.

those plastic servo nuts came with my kit
check your kit , probably you got them

You don't have to use them, I just screw right into the CF.

Yeah I thought that might be the case, it was a PITA. But I have done the plastic things on the other side, I ended up breaking and stripping a few of the screws, no wonder they include extras

Yea and a tip, one my back servo I didn't have a phillips screw driver that would fit through the holes to screw in so I just used a m2 regular screw for them and it semmed to tap into the cf good too, still holding strong. You could probably do that to all them and get rid of the phillips screws (hate these, don't know why compass uses them for plastic!)
