Scorpion 160 commander soft start
Im running my scorpion on vbar neo governor with v control. Soft start is working but its not too soft. This is my first scorpion esc and was curious if and what setting might soften my motor startup a bit. None of the settings seem to make much sense. Im currently running on the number 1 heli mode ss without gov.
Thanks in advance |

Im not sure, now that you use external gov.
But when using internal govenor, (if i remember right) softstart is a bit better in gov. Mode. And, when switching between flight modes, you also have softdelay inbetween. You dont have that in normal mode Best rgds |

You should use air1 or air2 according to your FBL's soft start function. If your fbl unit has its own soft start, try using air1. If not, like skookum, use air2 and give the esc some time to spool up, before governor takes over.
You shouldn't use SS mode with external governor. During spool up, the esc tries to start slow, but the governor tries to reach its desired rpm and when it's not spinning fast enough, it rises the signal more and more. When the soft start complete on esc side, there will be a rpm jump because of the high signal from ext gov.
