Default 100A V3 Programming

Hello all,

Is there a way to manually enter a desired Head Speed into either the software or using the programming box, then download it into the ESC? I downloaded the Software to check it out, and it doesn't seem to be in there. I am looking at getting this ESC for a Goblin build, and am learning as much as I can before deciding on the purchase.

Thanks!

Ron

Not in the ESC governor mode. If you use a FBL that has governor then it might be supported there. But the ESC itself is a "dynamic" governor that works off the throttle signal so a flatline curve is best.

However, this ESC has one of the best governor modes available on the market at this time. It has been compared to the Kontronic in stability and supportive graphs have been shown.

And in all other aspects, this ESC rocks! Breat BEC capability, Auto Rotation recovery mode, etc. I'd say go for it!

Okay thanks!

So how do you get to a targeted HS? Do you just use a tach and set it to that flat curve?

There are two modes. One learns the maximum RPM at motor startup, after every powerup and the other learns it once and stores it. The throttle is then a percentage of that maximum rpm (90% would give you 10% of headroom). So yes, a flat curve and either a tacho or just set it to what head speed feels right.
