Default N640 radio setup guides?

Are there any radio setup guides anywhere for the N640 with flybar? I was surprised they do not have anything in the manuals. Most other heli manuals do.

Is this the first heli you have ever set up?

If the lengths of all of your control rods with their links attached are as per the manual, you will be be 90% there. The set up of it is the same as any other 120* eCCPM heli.

The only area that you may have to change slightly is from the servo arms to the elevator and aileron bellcranks. These make up a push/pull loop so each one must be the same length. How do you determine the proper length? Just measure from the center of the servo to the center of the bellcrank. This will give you the length from center of link at servo arm to center of link at the bellcrank.

Then be sure to install the servo arms with the radio sticks at half and all trims & subtrims at zero and all end points at 100*. When you attach the servo arms to the servo be sure that they result in holding the bellcrank, such that the third arm (the one with rods leading up to the swashplate) is perpendicular to the mainshaft.

Then at midstick, your washout arms should now also be perpendicular to the mainshaft, as should your bell/hiller arm (at the blade grip) and your blade pitch should end up at 0*.

Check out the picture here on page 26 of the Predator manual. It will give you a good idea showing how all pertinent arms are at 90* (perpendicular) to the mainshaft.

The above covers the mechanical set-up, as there are so many different brands of radios and each brand has so many different models, it would be impossible for any manufacturer to cover the radio set-up of all of them. Ditto for the radio/FBL set-up when you consider all the different FBL units out there.

What radio & FBL unit do you have?

Heh...miss the days where everyone had mechanical and nearly everyone's setup was almost identical regardless of radios.

Now I have a hard time even helping people at the field as everyone uses a different system and it takes an entire day of research to figure them out.
