Question 450L motor vibration

Ever since I finished building the 450L with Gpro kit and flying it the first time, I have been struggling with erratic tail wag.

I tried numerous things including tail balancing, 3 TT bearings, shorter tail servo throw but nothing solved it.

I then started disassembling it bit by bit until I found the culprit. It seems that the motor itself induces bad vibrations after 60% throttle.

To better understand my issue I have posted two clips, one with the motor mounted on the frame and one off. In both cases the motor didn't have the pinion mounted to exclude every other possible issue.

460mx vibration 2 (0 min 10 sec)
This is the one with it free. You can hear a ringing noise when decelerating.

460mx vibration (0 min 47 sec)
Here you can see how much vibration it causes when mounted inside the frame.

I don't know what to do other than contacting the retailer. Am I testing it wrong?

Thank you for any input.

Hmmm.. thats interesting. Never seen that before. The skids do like they are dancing around quite a bit.

You could send the motor to Align USA for testing and replacement. Thats what I would do. Stuff happens sometimes.

Had to exchange the motor. The new one is much better but still has some vibration at some speeds. Still, it doesn't affect the gyro anymore.

The one in the clip was inducing a really bad tail wag by disrupting the gpro gyro. Even on the table I would see the tail servo oscillate quickly.

If the issue comes back I will try to find a suitable motor replacement from another manufacturer.
