Default #2 - Adressed Issues and Solutions

Hello Helifreak-Users,

this is one of 4 threads to support our customers better. In this thread I will give each problem an own number. I will edit this thread if necessary one or two times a week. Every real issue from thread 1 will get a number here and I will also add issues named on other sources to me (facebook, german forum etc.). A short discription of the issue and the current status.

Please do not post here! I want to keep it as clean as possible.

Greetings
Sebastian Zajonz

#6 6HV Brittle Struts

From time to time we had customers with brittle struts. We changed the mold, changed the material and in a dry test the new struts we almost unbreakable.

I took like 10 new struts and did a lot of tests. Finally found out the struts are only breaking when all the four set screws are fully tightened. If all set screws are tightened there is something like a s-shape curve in the strut under stress and it break.

Solution is simple: Just tighten one set screw of the front strut at the right and one the rear strut at the right. With that the system is not hyperstatic anymore.
