Default official Blade 400 3d fun-fly east coast (hopfully)

well iv been pondering a huge blade 400 get togeather

im thinking june time frame biggest reason is ill be headed to iraq shortly after (no feedback needed IM PROUD TO GO AND SERVE OUR NATION)

ok.....
but i plan to get some names out thier like eflite for one and anyother that will show.

but it will be insane to get us b400 forum folks togeather and fly and finally meet.

i plane to have a ch47 land and be thier for a show and still gathering the ideas. so i hope thier will be a huge turn out. the only way im to do this is if i have atleast 50+ b400 flyers plan to show. im looking to have subway do some sponsoring and hopfully eflite help out as well.

if your interested of have ideas let me know and i do hope this event takes off so to speak

That would be a great time! Have it in a place where people could camp out? I'll start saving my pennies. What city?

One issue. isn't it true you can no longer bring lipos on airplanes?

Well you know I'm certainly gonna be there. In fact I'll come up early to help with any setup, etc...

That'd be awesome to have a CH-46 there! ( Any Ospreys? -jk ) Especially if we could get rides up one...haven't riden in one since...oh..1992?

If E-Flite came down, I would love for them to bring one of the engineer's responsible for the product design. It'd be fascinating to learn the background of the design, and tips on fine tuning it. It'd also be good to give info on how they could improve it and still keep costs down!

Of course, you could have itenarary of all kinds of events, from beginner flying & hovering to a Sokal "masterclass" going over all the flight physics of the heli's and how it applies to flying technique!

Put me down for 90% sure. Will have to see exact date and make sure there is no conflict. I'll be glad to drive the 11 hours. Great idea! Hope it pans out.

Great idea

If Sokal cannot pick me up by helicopter, I guess I will have to jump on a plane. Should be doable ...

location NEWPORT NEWS , VA
EST Dates 30-31 MAY
6-7 JUNE

actual location may not me at a flying field not sure to much of the laws
im compiling as much info as i can to get things in order still have to write Eflite and maybe some other distributors to come to the event.

as you all know it may be hard for me to write a good looking letter to eflite so any of you english knowleged floks out thier would mind lending me your typing skills.

my wife is a discrict manager of 10 subways so ill have food coverd as long as you like subway and may have a BBQ going. i wana make this a fun family event and a meet and greet of the b400 guys.

i also plan on getting other involved in the hobby as well so may be an open invite to public. the other reason would be to have ARMY recruiters thier for interested young adults looking to join (how i may get the 47 to show up)

but i do plan on it being a big event and i hope more than 50+ b400 guys show
i know i say is for b400 guys to fly but bring any rotorwing rc u have.

so i do thank you for you support on this and plan to provide a more solid info soon

Sokal your the MAN. I wouldn't be surprised if you could not round up that brand new president of yours to attend.

Seriously though, bring military recruiters or what ever it takes as long as the Blade 400 folks can get together.

I just wish I hadn't been out of work for the past more than two months. I'd be really looking at going.

if so, to get one last minute is a cinch,...join online and you can print out a "provisional" membership card thats good until you get your actual membership card
