One way bearing removal / Hub
Hey guys,
Saw some info here for the one way. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=378168 I believe the part listed below is the correct part, right? http://www.nankinhobby.com/product_p/62-101412.htm So, I have 2 hubs with one ways that are not working at all/well. I have tried to get the one way bearing out with not a ton of luck. (or effort yet in fear of breaking it) Does anyone have any suggestions? 8$ vs 25$ for the hub/w1way or just bearing is a big difference. James |

Hi, that's the correct part, it's very easy actually, I also recently changed my first ever one way bearing, all I did was remove the radial bearings at least the side that you're gonna hammer, rest the hub lip between two bricks or logs same height, get a same size drive socket as the owb, put it in the hub and just hammer it straight out, same as installing, put the owb and hub on a vise, aim straight and just press it in all the way, reinstall bearing on the other end, use the same drive socket, and push with vise the remaining gap, goes in like butter, no brute strength needed whatsoever, and close with the other radial bearing, done! Good luck!

Best thing I've found for removing the OWB (same idea as Daniel):
Find 2 sockets from a wrench set that: 1. A socket large enough to rest the hub on but allow the OWB to pass through it 2. A socket small enough to rest on the outer edge of the bearing, but is able to pass through the hub. Set the hub on the larger socket. Place the smaller socket on the OWB so the faces meet flush. Smack the top socket and it should push the OWB out. Might take a few good smacks, but it works like a charm with no damage!! |

I'm having a problem here to install ; there's a groove in the autorotation hub, 1 bearing sits in that groove, but the other bearing does not fit in the other side of the autorotation hub, entry to small.
So how do I fit those parts and in what order. On side has a groove and the other side's to small, bearing doesn't fit. Thanks

Which bearings are you trying to install?
Click a quick photo so we can see what's going on visually. Tx! |

What the manual says ; ( # 60-10153 ) 10 x 15 x 3 BB
and ( # 62-101412 ) 10 x 14 x 12 OWB

Fixed the problem,
there was this outer rim of the bearing that got stuck in the hub, I thought it was part of the hub but it was not. With the hub placed this way, 3rd pic from the left, do I insert the OWB with the writing facing upward or the other way around, the writing facing downward

I installed a mock shaft / main gear & pulley. the main gear turns left and not right so this tells me that I installed the OWB upside down, right ?
