Default Align 250 Slamming

Hello everyone,

Hope someone can help me.

I am a new pilot and flies 250 Trex.

For the past 2 days, i have observed my heli goes up very fast and slammed into the ground. I even broke the landing gear during the last crash.

Today morning when was flying, the same happened again.

Could this be someone jamming the radio ?

I had the same issue with my Walkera 450 and found out the ESC got bursted.

Thx a lot in advance.

Cheers,

Ajith

check for binding, you might need to disconnect the motor and see how it behaves.

Also, how are your throttle and pitch curves?

Most likely a mechanical issue. Have you checked all your servos move smoothly, is there any binding or notchiness in the bearings on the head? Have you checked for any damage to the mainshaft or feathering shaft?

It is a new bird .. never crashed except it slammed as I said .. Broke the landing gear ..

Aldo remember, I had the same issue with the Walkera 450.. so could be a signal interference issue ..

Just wanted to see anyone else faced similar issue ..

For this pitch curve, I assume that 50 (mid-stick) corresponds to 0 degree, correct ?

You could try to increase 40 to 45 and 45 to 48. When you try to land, only a small negative pitch is in action. Hopefully, helicopter would not slam down onto ground.

Even so, it could be a mechanical issue. Less likely on a brand new bird, and definitely unlikely to be servos, but you can't just rule out a mechanical fault.

It sounds like potentially a radio issue though if the model is new. Did you have the exact same symptoms on your 450? And could you clarify exactly what it does, is it a totally uncommanded motion, or is it just extremely sensitive? If it's the exact same thing on both models, do you have any components in common between the models, have you re-used a receiver for example?

Thank you everyone for coming to help me

I think, it was caused by me being a newbie, new batteries and ground issues ..

Besides Align 250 is not that a stable heli ..

I am managing to fly it now .. no more crashes (Keeping the finer closed )

I was going to guess that you were over compensating bringing throttle down when it took off too quickly. Especially since it happened on your Walkera as well. This is a tough heli to learn on.

commen mistake to make when your new to cp helis, the collective is very sensitive, especially on more powerfull helis. its very easy to send your heli shooting upwards.

Also the wind can really pick up or push down your heli depending on if your flying into the wind or flying with the wind.

a 250 gets blown about quite easily by the wind and will jump up and down in the wind.

you could adjust your pitch curve slightly by bringing down the last 2 points down a touch. Ive just built a 250 and im running a flat throttle curve (im running devo radio so my numbers are different since they go from -100 to +100) 0 80 80 80 80 with pitch curve -10 0 0 40 80.

Collective is alot softer with a lowe rpitch curve as well as the slightly lower headspead, however it makes it harder to save the heli if you suddencly loose height.
