Default 3GX Not responding to Gain input. HELP!!!!

Hello,
I want to start by letting you guys know that Im using a Dx8 with Trex450L brand new out of the box.
I did all the setups as indicated in the manual. When I came to the first hover I had enormous tail wag. Simply, I thought to solve it with gain reduction. Didn't work no matter what value I put.
After countless hopeless tries. Here is the conclusion:
1. I have 3 Gyro settings that I can cycle through in flight with (Flap/Gyro) switch. Changing through them does change the light on 3gx.
2. I have in switch select: Gyro= AUX2
3. When connected to 3gx software, no matter what value I put for any of the gyro settings, the Gyro gain is the same, no change what so ever. The values that I see on the computer are 1: (62)/ 2: (03)/ 3: (68)
So why is it when I use the switch, it does toggle through the gyro gains, but whenever I set a value, it doesn't change anything while I can still toggle through them.

Its really driving me nuts, iv had the heli for more than 2 months and I can't fly it from this issue!!

All help is appreciated, Thank you for your time

This is a very common problem... and I went through it with my Futaba 8J radio.

Though I'm not familiar with Spektrum, you can solve this problem by linking up the 3GX to your computer. Look at the tail setup page where it displays the Gyro Gain.

You should be able to move that value in real time with your TX. As we both know, you can not. You need to change your TX setup menu around until you can gain control of that channel. The TX manual should guide you to programming that channel for gain. I must have read 5 or 6 threads on this exact problem with your exact radio with the same exact red/green light confusion. Sorry that I can remember how to fix it with Spektrum- it just doesn't stick in my mind cause I only fly Futaba.

Someone with Spektrum can help more. But feel better that this happens to a lot of people. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply.
Iv been searching for this issue before I made the post and still searching for an answer I couldn't find.
Since its a problem that happened before its a bit more comforting now. However I still need to find and answer.
I've also tried to go through my tx settings didn't seem to find any solution.

Thank you for your time RC_DC.

I found the solution. Its something I missed, I did assign in the switch select (GYRO) for (AUX2) however, I didn't change the channel on the GYRO menu to AUX2. It was on (Gyro).
I found noticed that when I was going through the tx manual. Thank you
