Default Vibrating tail on 600 ESP

I have a flybar 600 ESP that I bought used. I've flown it about 15 times so far. It flies great. I noticed that the tail fin vibrates, so that when you are looking at it from the back it vibrates side to side so fast that it is blurred from the vibration, seems like about 1/4" or so. I looked at videos and they seem to not move at all. My others don't do this. Nothing else seems to be a problem. It hoovers perfectly, will stay in one spot with virtually no input. Is this a problem? I'm assuming it is. If so, what should I look for. I is probably a wide range of things and a can of worms, but where should I start, or should I not worry about it?

First thing would be to take off the main blades, secure the heli to the bench and test for vibration and the trueness of the main shaft/mast. Could be anything from tracking to bearings. If TT then the state of that should also be verified.

I'll do that. It is TT so I'll pull the boom and check the rod. Is this something that you wouldn't fly until it was fixed? Is it considered that serious? As I said, it holds a spot very well and flies nicely. I don't use it for 3d. I'm going to start checking it right away, buy if I get to the field and find that I didn't fix it, as a general rule is it safe to Bly? As I typed that question I realize there's really not a fair answer as all this varies and that would be a personal decision based on a lot of variables.
Thanks

If something major is on its way out a deterioration in the condition could cause a malfunction and failure/crash. If it is just a slight imbalance and she flys well so be it. difficult decisions here.

Personally, when I see or find any vibe anywhere I remedy it pronto. It is only a very small push before it becomes catastrophic.

Try packing your thrust bearings with a lot of grease....their most likely dry if you bought it used. Use a lot of grease!

I'll try that. I flew it today and it had no vibration at all until the second battery pack, so it's intermittent, which makes it even harder to find. I'll keep trying things until it stops.
Thanks,
Guy

TT was mentioned. Check fathering spindle in the head. Both should be straight.

You can try putting grease on fathering spindle also. It is important in bigger helis and essential for RJX 50 FBL head I use. Check dampeners. You can try to put softer ones or harder.

Press down flybar down on one side and check if mainblades move (if you can rotate them like changing angles). There should be no play or minimal possible play.

Check main shaft. It should not have any play in up/down direction.
