Default DX9 Flight Mode switch reversing question

Hello,

I fly Vbar Control for most of my Helis. But I also have a Blade Nano CPX that I fly with my DX9. I want to mirror the switches that I have setup on my VControl to my DX9. Everything is easy to setup except for the Flight mode switch. I want the flight mode switch to be reversed...meaning I want position 2 to be normal mode, position 1 to be Idle up 1, and position 0 to be Idle up 2. This may be a simple solution or may not be possible. I called Horizon hobby support and he told me he's not sure it's possible to do that when the model is setup as a Helicopter. He tried walking me through digital switch setup, but that didn't work. Anybody have any ideas?

Steve

Directly from the GUI no not really. You can rename and reassign voices.
Spoken Flight Mode menu. In your Thr and Pit Curve menus the icons for mode selections will reflect the default layout of the switch but you can set your curve menus either way you want. It will be displayed and spoken correctly you just have to work your other menus backwards in a way.

Horizon mentioned that I could do that as the "redneck" way of fixing it. I was reluctant. But I guess there's no other viable alternative.

Seems like just changing the names and programming them the opposite way would be simpler. It wont cause confusion if that switch gets used for something else in a different mode either.

That's exactly what I've been trying to figure out how to do. Do you know how? I can reverse it in the software if it's setup as a plane but not as a helicopter.

Try going into Digital Switch Setup and reverse the settings for Flight Mode from -100,-50,0,50 to 0,-50,-100,50

I tried that with the help of horizon. No luck. Not in helicopter mode anyway.

Ok. In your Thr and Pit curve menus you have H,N,1&2. Hold is Hold.
The N,1&2 curves all function the same. You can rename the FModes.
Rename Normal to ST2 and ST2 to Normal. Then when you go to the curve menus to program just remember that the N displayed to select mode to adjust is actually your ST2. and the 2 in the menu is going to be your Normal. The N,1&2 selections in the curve menus only reflects the standard switch position use. You cant change that. What your basically doing is using the position the radio thinks is Normal for your ST2 and vice versa. Remember the swap will affect the settings in other menus like gyro and gov. The radio wont care. You just have to keep it straight in your head.

When you get done you will have Normal displayed on the screen but in the menus you will use Pos2 to adjust. Same for ST2. You will use N to adjust ST2.

OK here's an alternative to try. Go into Digital Switch Setup again and reverse the settings for Switch B.

The only way to make this all happen without physically flipping the switch over is as I explained above.

Thanks for all the help fellas. I ended up flipping the switch. Seems to be the easiest solution as I can reverse the switch just fine for airplane mode.
