After many days and nights working on my old plastic computer desk, I finally got around to putting together a decent place to mess around with this hobby. It's not too much, but I do have a good work area and lots of tools to help me along the way. Not to mention, I've got my iPad hooked up to some good speakers for rockin' while I work.

It's nice being out here, and having some room to swing my arms around and work on my newer 600-size bird. I can even spin the blades without any obstruction from anything, which is handy. I also got some used display cases that the home decoration store 'Homegoods' were throwing away, so I decided to put my choppers along the top shelves and most everything else (small tools, papers, manuals, batteries, etc.) along the bottom shelves.

Next thing on the list is lighting for the used display cases. I'd love to have some soft lighting above and underneath the shelves to accent the helis, but that will have to wait while I build up some more spare cash.

One door to the garage, and one to the backyard. That's sweet! I have to lug my stuff from my worktable, across the house, to the front door when I want to test something. Great location!

Ha, I know the feeling. My old computer desk was pretty much a small, writing table, which was about 2ft x 3ft in surface area. Now I've got a good space to work with, and everything is handily near me. The best part is, I paid nearly nothing for all of it. I bought the desk at a friend's garage sale for $20, and didn't pay anything at all for the display cases. Homegoods were just throwing away about 50 of these little cases (I have 3 side by side). It all worked out great, I love it!
