As far as I know the x7 is fairly lenient. 713 still works with 115 on tail unlike some helis. Obviously no 800 though. What size were you thinking?

Thanks for the reply.

Since I am new to the 700, X7 and I saw few blades that are little bit longer than the 700 blades 710-720's. that is why I ask.

Ah I see, yea the x7 is a big 700 then so you should be good with any blades in 700 series. As long as your not attempting a stretch I think you will be fine

I'm going to be running the Align 700 with 105 tail. Previously, had 753mm with Rail 116 tail but crashed over the weekend and plan on going back to stock configuration. I thought about going with the SAB 710 blades but really like how quite the Align blades are on my buddies Synergy.

Yeah, it was a beast. I bought it from another HF on the site but in the end, I'm going back to original size. I don't have time to custom fabricate a bunch of parts and it was to big to get into my car anyway. Those blades were massive though. Just one was the size of my entire X5!

I've run Rail 716's and Rail 116's on my stock length X7 without issue, although I would say it was a bit concerning, I still did fast tic-tocs and low HS. I ended up shredding the tailblades on a gravel takeoff though. The larger tail blades were completely unnecessary. Running 106's now.

Edge 105. Tail is perfect. The high ratio does the job.

Cool

IMO, main blades around 700mm length are best for X7.
Bigger ones such as 715mm, although good to fly, but power consuming, have to got an excellent pair of power Lipo.
I use Helix 695 for X7, amazing feeling, love it.

I disagree on that: changing from radix 693 to edge 713 gave me much more power and left my flight times EXACTLY the same.
Lower pitch for both cyclic and collective is more efficient.

After that i tried a series of blades:
SB 685 - very agile but you need high RPM to compensate for the length.
Edge se 693- good compromise but less power
Rail 716- too big! Due to wider cord. Flight times are roughly the same but more bog.

The "old" edge 713 were the best for now.
I still want to test SB 700 with higher RPM, or similar ones.

It depends on flying style.

My flight style didnt change when changing the blades.
Power increased and flight times remained the same...

Just curious, what RPM is everyone flying, on a regular basis, and what blade size? Previously I had 753mm and was running 1900RPM. I've switched back to 700 (due to an incident with the ground) and curious what speed others are flying at this size. I have Align blades and the box says they're rated to 2200RPM which I was shooting for around 2000 or so. What flight times are you getting with your RPM, blade and battery size?

You misunderstood my words, but anyway trust yourself and find the most suitable ones for yourself.

2200 on Idle2, 2100 on Idle1, 1950 on normal (but only for take off).
700 around length blades, hard-3D, no more than 4 minutes.
If use 715 blades, same style, time reduced by half a minute.

Oh if you referred the "lower pitch" i meant the flybarless and collective uses less pith/angle of attack to give you what you want due to more surface + longer arm on the main shaft (due to longer blade).

I totally agree everyone needs to find what's good for them.

numbers for me by the way: 713 edge blades medium to hard 3D - 4:00 with 3.8 per cell at the end (gens 5000/45C)
with the 716 rails i get 3.78 per cell (bigger surface than the Edge).
