Default Knight 50 Sport

Anybody on this fourm flying this great little heli? I got one a few weeks ago and love the way the thing flys. I am not sure why but it feels like a mini stratus in the air. The head is ultra responsive, the tail hold really well, and the machine tracks like it is on rails. If you fly a mechinically mixed 50 the collective punch with the CCPM setup on the knight 50 is very easy to get use to It hard to beat for $260 bucks!!! I have owned just about every heli out and this is one of the best that I have run across if you factor in fun per dollar spent.

I have been flying the metal and plastic versions and really like the responsive feel as compared to Sceadu and Raptors.

I did mod the mixers for a little more collective but that was all.

I have had Raptors and a Sceadu as well and like flying the knight a lot more. It tic tocs a lot better than the others. I am at 5280 feet so most helis fly like they are in mud, but not this one. The Knight will tic toc alot like a 90 at this altitude. Not sure if it is the CCPM setup or the way the head is designed but it sure does them well.

What mod did you do to the mixers? Did it liven up the cyclic, slow it down, or keep it the same?

I am glad to hear that others are flying this heli. I think it is one of the best unknow helicopters out right now, and the price is unbeliable...

There is a link of the Knight 50 Sport in action.....i love this heli....cheap and flies awesome.....most people i have told about it dont believe me when i tell them it flies as good as most 90's ive flown.....the heli in the video has the same mod that Ron is talking about....what the mod does is allow you to get about +12-12 pitch and 6.5 degrees cyclic without any binding

http://www.flyingaid.co.uk/infobase/models.asp#knight
This link will give a detailed description of the mod and pictures.....its very very easy to do and takes like 15 minutes to drill the holes and readjust the linkages.

Kirk,

I moved the ball in approx 6mm to give me more pos and neg pitch with less swash travel - removes some top and bottom binding as well if you like large cyclic throws
