Default Spartan Quark with Dx6i and AR6200 problem

Hi guys

This is driving me nuts

so i hope someone can help

I have a Spartan Quark mounted on my Gaui Hurricane 550 with external BEC. The gyro is connected to the Rx which is a Spektrum AR6200, my Tx is a Spektrum Dx6i.
My Tail Servo is an Align DS620

I have followed Finless Bobs vids on the Quark gyro setup and got it all to wotk fine.

This is the problem.

The setup only allows for the gryo signal cable to be plugged into the aux channel on the Rx which only leaves the Gear Channel free, problem is my pitch doesnt work in the gear channel

if I plug the pitch into the aux my servos all work beautifally but then I dont get a signal from the servo to the Rx when its plugged into the gear channel

How do I configure the setup so my pitch works with the gyro signal plugged into the aux channel ie Gear channel operates pitch...

Any help really really appreciated

AUX1 channel is for the pitch ONLY. If you allocate gear to gyro on the setup menu and then allocate gain for Rate and HH all should work fine. You can go to the RX monitor option and check that when the gear switch is operated ch5 shows the change.

Go into the gyro menu and set SW->Gyro then set 0 to 50 and 1 to 64. your 1 position is now your HH, turn it up by steps until the tail starts to wag and then back it up some. Hope you have setup the tail mechanically first though.

Ok did as suggested - went into the Gyro menu on the DX6i and selected sw=Gyro but still no action from the tail servo just a flashing purple light??

When i flick the gyro switch to 1 on the Tx the spartan calibrates and i get tail movement but only when i move the rudder stick - it doesnt centre itself? I guess this is heading hold?

When I flick the switch back to 0 i now get a small amount of movement from the rudder but not much....
