Kontronik powerjive 120+ HV BEC disable

Has anyone used Kontronik powerjive and disabled the BEC? I want to use an external 2S battery to power the servos and RX. I would think that by pulling out the red wire out of the connector should do it (and fold it back and tape it in case I want to use it in the future or with another machine).
Anyone does this before?

Yes that's exactly it! I run my 700E that way. Or you can get an extension and remove the wire from that.

Aprox how many flights would you expect to get on the 2s,ive been thinking of doing the same thing.Also does it make much diff on your total flight time due to less draw on the mains.

I have the exact same setup, just disconnect the red wire. I usually get about 5 flights with my 2s lipo pack.
