Sorry for the late notification of our event. I have been out the hobby for about 6 months due to other commitments. I will try to respond to any questions here or feel free to call any of the above numbers. Thanks.

Tullahoma Fun Fly
Count me in!
I am RE-new to the sport... I had a Mantis fixed pitch helicopter in the 80's... chased myself around the driveway with it many times! I just found a great deal on a Belt CP on craigslist 2 weeks ago and "re" entered the sport! I hovered 3 times tethered before a main rotor strike stripped my main gear. This weekend I spent hours reading on this and other sites... and bought several upgrades/parts: DX8 radio CoptorX v2 head and tail Cellpro 4 charger couple of batteries SG90 servos Align GP750 Gyro JR3500G tail servo I have started on the DTS mod... I hope all my parts get in and I have time to put it all together, ready for the Fun Fly. Will there be folks there to verify that I have everything set correctly and maybe even do a test fly for me? how about a "wired to an instructor" training session? looking forward to it all!!! |

Thank you Coffee Airfoilers!!!
Thanks to all the Coffee Airfoilers for the hospitality and willingness to help a new guy!
Special thanks to Rich and his son for spending the day helping me to get the Frankenheli setup - ultimately unsuccessfully because of some mismatched parts... I learned a tremendous amount. Thanks to Curtis (I think it was Curtis, sorry if I got the name wrong!) that helped me with the setup of my radio on the Trex 500 (read that DID the setup of my radio!!) and to Kendall for Trex 500 deal and the test flight! And a big thank you to (can't remember the name... someone please help me out!) the guy that gave me the opportunity to buddy box on his gas heli... Awesome! -Jim

Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a great event. Thanks to our sponsors for all of the great door prizes. Thanks to Tommy with E-Mergent RC at Huntsville Ala. for stepping up big with prizes. Huntsville has a great new Heli shop that truly supports our hobby. Thanks to the whole Alabama gang for your support. We all had a great time.
