Default 8FGH Super Setup (Phoenix)

Hey guys... I tried to leave the hobby ten years ago selling off everything before moving from VA to NJ and now I'm still finding myself at air fields more often than not watching, so I went to the local hobby shop, bought Phoenix RC with a DX5e. Later that night, I hopped online and ordered a Futaba T8FG Super.

While I'm quite confident getting around the unit's programming, it is totally factory default and my only heli is (thank goodness) the Phoenix RC Sim. I only owned a Nexus for a short period back in the day, my radio was set for Normal / Idle Up and Auto modes by the guys at the hobby shop. The new radio hasn't been configured and I don't have the experience to give it the right settings. Are there some initial settings you can recommend for those modes and dual rates?

The first heli I'm going to buy is going to be a 600 or a Gaui X5. Undecided, but I'd like to get the Phoenix Sim set up right for the next six to nine months. Yes, I'm taking my time and doing it the "long way."

Much appreciated,
Kevin

Default Idle Up 1 - Flat Throttle Curve

I don't know if I'm doing this right, but I did set a linear throttle curve on Idle Up 1 so I can fly inverted, etc. I'm assuming this is what I'll have to do at some point.

leave everything on the transmitter in default setting and let the phoenix sim walk you through the calibration process. i have my idle up in switch-C though

I have mine set up as model type "Helicopter" with swash type "H1".

That's just basic - one servo per function. I'm sure you could use "Airplane".

The thing is, Phoenix takes care of all mixes and you just leave it be.

I use the keyboard "1" for idle-up and "3" for throttle hold. Because I'm lazy.

Welcome back to the hobby (addiction, hehe). You thought you could get away?

Cheers
Erik.
