Default Jazz 40-6-18

Is anyone using a Jazz 40-6-18? If so, please post your setup & some flight feedback as well. Thanx in advance.

Ken

I know its a Kontronic and all the internals are gold plated and all. But only 40 amps? How are the ESC temps when you land?

Although kontronik says the ESC can take double the amperage with very good cooling, I think this is pushing it a bit. Maybe with the old motors it would work (I read at the time people were using the 40A and 55A), but with the new lipos and power hungry motors, it would be dangerous...

I'm not going to use a Jazz 40 personally. I actually have a Jazz 80 that I'm going to use. I was simply researching some of the older threads and ran across a couple of posts where pilots said they were using the Jazz 40. I'm a big fan of Kontronik but I have to agree that although they may work, I'm sure a Jazz 40 has to be working triple overtime in a Protos. I was hoping some of those users or past users would chime in. I'm curious to know how long it lasted and if it survived according to flying styles.
