Question help with 3gx and futaba 8FG please

hi,im trying to setup my first 3gx 500!! i used to be a die hard flybar fan,and i still am untill i get this bloody thing setup!!!

in my swash menu on my 8FG,do i leave AIL ELE PIT all at +50% for the DIR setup? like you would on a flybar setup?? so i can get everything level.
also can i still use sub trim to get servo horns level??

i feel like a newbie all over again but i like it!!

cheers people

Enter DIR mode so the servos are unaffected by mocement of the heli.

Setup the servo direction for AIL/ELE/PIT servos so they all move in the correct direction with swash PIT mix set to +50%. Set the sub-trim on each so that horns are at 90deg and adjust the links so that the swash is level at mid-stick with a straight pitch curve (-100,-50,0,50,100) and with the 8FG make sure that hover pitch is inhibited.

Set the swash AIL mix so that cyclic is in the right direction, making the value +50% or -50% as needed. Do the same for ELE.

Recheck that the swash is level at mid-stick.

Then set the swash PIT mix to give +12deg at full stick. Then do cyclics at about 8-10deg.

You can then do the E.LIM type stick twiddling as per the manual.
