Default JR E6 550 motor and blade question

Hi

Im using a scorpion 3226 1400kv motor with 14t pinion, running 2400 rpm.
With stock 510 blades and 13 degree pitch, I can feel it bog down a bit during full pitch loops etc, and with my 3 blade head its much worse.
I need a bit more "oomph" for my 3 blade E6.
Any tips what to look for, that is more powerful then my 3226 and will fit between the frames on the E6?

Also is it ok to run 520 blades on the E6 550?
Thanks

Maybe Pyro 600 or KDE 500XF-G3.

Thanks for the reply.

I looked at the Pyro 600 1200kv.
I thought it whas on pair with the 3226 power wise?
So it should be more powerfull?

Thanks

JR motor 1750KV

520 blades will overlap the tail blades, 515 is the longest I would recommend.

I have flown mine with the stock motor and 3026-1400kv.
12/13 tooth pinions on both. The stock JR motor is more powerful in my opinion.

Thinking about trying the KDE 500XF myself.

Thanks.

The KDE motor will barely fit between the frames.
Im a bit worried that the chassie will flex some under heavy load, and the KDE motor can rub the frames?

Cheers

I decided to look into this a little further.
RC japan states that the stock motor is rated at 45a continuous. At 6s voltage and 45a current. We yield just over 1000w.
Doesn't add up. It feels stronger than the 3026 which has a rating of around 1700w.
Now the bearings in stock motor are shot.
So I am looking at modding the frame to fit the Scorpion 4020 1400kv.

What pinion are you using that setup?

Isn't this heli rated for 1600-1800 kv motors? Why are you guys all using lower kv's?

There are higher tooth count pinoins available now.
Which allows for the higher torque lower kv motors in this class.
The stock motors does a good job but was originally made for the E6 500. Same frame shorter boom and 440mm blades.
The heli is so light it doesn't require the larger motor like a Gaui X5 does.
It is a hobby. I will be upgrading mine this season.
After trying a KDE motor in my 700. Thats all I want to run now.

I placed an order on E6-550 today because all the good things I read about it, and I enjoy light helis running low rpm.

On a different issue from this thread, may I ask what the largest tail blades you can use on E6-550? It seems to me the tail blade grip can hold 5mm thick blades, but has an unusual 2.6mm bolt size. So from my research only the E6-550 stock blades or Gaui X5 stock blades can fit perfectly. Both are only 82mm long from hole to tip.

I am hoping to using 95/105/115mm blades from 600-800 size heli, which are 5mm thick blades with 3mm bolts.

Would you please help me confirm what I found out? If true, do you know where I can buy 3mm-to-2.6mm bolt adaptor?

I have also used the Align 85mm

According to JR E6-550 manual page 47, the bolt holding the tail blades is M2.6x15.

Is there an error with the manual, or do you just use blades with 3mm holes and accept the freeplay?

Right now I have KBDD plastic installed.
There is a little bit of play. I will ask about getting some with the smaller bolt hole.
My machine flies fine though.
