Mine arrived this morning too...

Nicely cut lower battery tray and long ESC plate, and a bit disappointing blade caddy...

Didnt like the look of that caddy anyway, ordered the Curtis Younblood things that seem to be the most appropriate.

Never heard of the bracket V-Bar mount and didn't find a picture. Could you please describe it? Thanks!

FYI, I just learned that frame bracers are not compatible with Jan's original frame stiffeners, bottom bolt of the bracers overlaps with top of frame stiffener and washer.

So, unless you are willing to "shave off" a bit of Jan's frame stiffener (including two washers), these two can't be installed together, which is a bit of shame because both are great upgrades.

That's not good news... I'm ok with the braces alone so far though.

Well, it's about 1-2 mm overlap based on a picture posted on another forum.
I me really gutted by this, was looking forward to have both and make the frame really stiff, but I can't really convince myself to shave off washers (carbon part of stiffener would be ok) as in my opinion that would make Jan stiffeners weaker. Your mileage may vary, some people will probably go for it.

I have a few guys running them together but slight modification is needed. Its a bummer but my testing showed, even with a Xera 4530-500 and a Scorpion 4525-520LE flying hard 3d/speed flying, the brace is all you need. Trust me when I say, I'm not easy on my machines...

If I thought Jan's was better I would of made my own instead of the braces a while ago

Marcos, the bracket Mount is a very clean and elegant mounting solution for the full size vbar or other GPS systems etc.

You can see more in this topic

I'm hoping to have them ready for shipping around Mid-Week

Rob, if you ever make another bacth, do you think a 2-3 mm less tall brace to make clearance for Henseleit frame stiffener bolt, would be possible and make sense?

The Brace was designed to rest on top of the bearing block but it could be simply moved up to allow for more clearance for Jan's stiffener.

thanks,
Rob

Aha, so i hope i made the holes right, because i used the included template to drill, without bearing block attached.
But the brace is enough for 4525-4530 motors, or not?

Just shave a mm off of Jans brace and use both. Took 10 min and both work great together. It does not weaken jans brace at all. It's just a bit of overhang.

It will work great with those motors!! Any motor that fit between the frames will fit the brace.

They are in stock on my website as of tonight

Rob, i already have 2 of them, but i wonder why use both the brace and Jans frame kit, i thought your brace is the best solution and should be better stiffening then Jans kit?

Jointer-
I had just micks brace on my TDR. First flight on my new 4530le I rubbed the frame. I installed jans brace with micks and now it is fine. I believe Micks brace might be the better of the two but together the frame is very stiff. It's an easy mod to make both work together.

I also have the VBar mounr.

Would have been better, in my opinion, if all the bolts were countersunk.
