Yes, the scenery in the winter is beautiful here. Also, in december, we only get a couple of hours of daylight. The sun barely goes over the horizon, which gives stunning light for video / photography.

freeskiken, Canada is also a beatiful, and wild country. I envy your culture for light aircraft use, I love the piper cub's.

bikneli, Do you get snowy winters in the midwest?

Have you guys seen this movie?
Supervention Highlights - Field Productions [HD] (5 min 8 sec)

SUPERVENTION OFFICIAL TRAILER (HD) (4 min 4 sec)

If you look at 2:20-> 2:40 thats 20-30km from my home.

WOW, those need to be on I-MAX..........if they are not already

Snowy winters here? We get tastes of the white stuff several times throughout the winter, but only maybe a couple or three w. any real
accumulation. We are just far enough south that we can get as much ice
and/or sleet as snow though. No high country around here, you got us
beat BIG time!

So what is your daylight time up to now?

I saw the movie in the cinema two years ago, it simply blew my mind. Some of the mountain shots made me dizzy.. :-)

Now one month past winter solstice, we have around 7 hours of daylight. But when the summer comes around, it doesnt get dark here. Then we can fly until midnight. :-) I am longing for the summer. Snow is great, but warm summer evenings are better for flying helis and planks.

Catskiing looks nice, i've never tried it :-)
I also love to ski, have been skiing since I was little. The nearest ski lift is 2km from my home. The ski resort is small, only 2 lifts, but thats no problem - still nice to be able to go skiing after work etc.

I don't know if the 600SE's belt is shorter than the 690's though. You'd have to check that, but other than that, I see no issues running longer blades.
I know for a fact the length is the same. I recently converted my SE drivetrain to SX. This required a lot of new parts (hub, oneway pulley, belt, tail pulley). But, the boom was not one of them. Everything bolted right up in place.

I thought it was very close to the price of a new 690 kit to convert the 600SE ?

This is where we go catskiing.

Cariboo Snowcat Skiing (7 min 40 sec)

The mountains are not close to my house 3.5 to 4 hours to good mountains.

Maybe to do a full part for part conversion. I just wanted the one-way bearing to stop spinning in the journal. I did the bare minimum to get the new hub. It was still over $200 IIRC.

When the snow is deep and dry it is so much fun. Like floating down the mountain.

I'm seriously thinking about building a 6s 'low headspeed' 690 size Logo. Looks like it would cost me maybe $200 for blades and parts to stretch one of my 600-3ds. However, I really want the larger canopy of the 690sx and the little battery support plate.

I asked a long time ago but I'll ask again, does anyone know if the little 690sx battery support 'shelf' will fit on a 600?

I know it will bolt on... but does it fit inside the smaller 600 canopy. Since you have both could you please try it and let us know?

I use the custom heli parts carbon tray on mine. I had to round the front corners a bit. So I am not sure if the new tray will fit with out the 690 canopy. I guess bolt it on if not order the 690 canopy.

Bruh. You just made me take two helicopters apart over a 6900km distance. Wtf lol.

I can confirm that the 690 battery tray works with a 600 canopy. It indeed does touch the cano, it's just a slight touch though. This was tested with velcro installed. Cano sits in place with no visual displacement.
