Question BX & New servo & rebind??

Do I need to rebind my BX since I installed a new servo?

Why is it recommended to change all three cyclic servos when one is bad?

I would think you could go strait to setup menu step G to center the servo arm at 90 degrees and if you can't get a perfect 90 make any fine adjustments like that with the BeastX. Then make sure blades are zero pitch and do nothing else.

Someone else may know better than me though.

As long as it is the exact same servo then follow as per above. There's no need to change them all unless you can't get that model anymore.

Meaning that the three cyclic servos must be exactly the same model.

I have mixed servos with FBL gyros before. You just have to set the servo speed to that of the slowest servo in the group.

I did that with an ACE GT 5.1 now! The BeastX might not can handle it.

With the ACE GT gyros you don't have to remember what A thru N in setup menu does nor A thru H in parameter menu because you have visible pages you scroll through. I miss that screen sometimes but I'm learning the BeastX.

Well finding different servos with the exact "speed" is pretty dang tough. Operating frequency, on the other hand, no problem. But remember, these are two very different specs and DO NOT go hand in hand. Servo travel speed matching is highly advised, just run three of the same servos to eliminate any unwanted slow-poke units, or speedy ones, tipping the swash at different rates.

I agree, and I would always match them, but I wouldn't be surprised if the FBL unit couldn't do a damn fine job of adjusting to the slowest. For example in a pitch pump, one lags two faster ones, inducing a rotation, the FBL unit detects this, and slows the other two down more to compensate, and thus correct a little. Would be quite an interesting experiment to see how good it was. It's kind of like the wind pushing it off line.

I have actually just so I could fly the weekend put a used Hitec HS 65 Analog in beside two digitals in my 450 Pro. I just had to set Hz to 50.

I think Hz is what I meant to say earlier instead of speed.

In the GT I did set speed as well to the slowest one in the bunch.

You can notice a little difference in speed but so much of the time your not maxing out the speed of the servos when flying, so you can barely tell the speed difference. You can observe it on the bench that two will beat the one oddball to the top in collective movements but not by much.
